Handling of Personal Information / Public Disclosure on Matters relating to Personal Data

Based on Article 24 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, "Public Disclosure etc. on Matters relating to Retained Personal Data" and JISQ15001:2006 3.4.4.3 "Dissemination of Matters relating to Personal Information Subject to Disclosure, etc.", the Company shall publicly announce the following matters.

*However, the Company shall publicly disclose the following as "personal information subject to disclosure" (*1) regardless of the length of time it has been retained, without considering the exclusionary condition defined in Article 2 of the Personal Information Protection Law as "retained personal data": "those set to be deleted within a period (6 months) of no longer than one year that is prescribed by cabinet order".

(Note 1) Definition of "personal information subject to disclosure"
It refers to a collection of information that is systematically organized so that specific individuals may easily be searched for, and for which the Company has the authority to respond to requests for disclosure, correction, addition, or deletion of content, suspension of use, elimination, and suspension of provision to third parties as requested by the individual concerned.    

 

When the Company receives personal information directly in writing, the purpose of use shall be clearly stated in each case.
However, the following cases are excluded.

(1) Cases in which notifying the individual of the purpose of use or publicly announcing it may harm the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the individual or a third party

(2) Cases in which notifying the individual of the purpose of use or publicly announcing it may harm the Company's rights or legitimate interests

(3) Cases in which it is necessary to cooperate with a state authority or local public body in the performance of its duties as prescribed by law, and in which notifying the individual of the purpose of use or publicly announcing it is likely to impede the performance of such duties

(4) Cases in which it is recognized that the purpose of use is clear in light of the circumstances of the acquisition

Currently, we are not registered with any authorized personal information protection organization as a subject business.
